Technical Planning Committee

Mission Statement

The Technical Planning committee's mission is to collect, analyze, and interpret data for the purpose of giving unbiased recommendations to the Florida Gold Coast board concerning issues regarding the meet process. The committee shall make proposals as to the adoption and implementation of meet host mandates and procedures that are (1) in accordance with United States Swimming rules and regulations and (2) meet the goal of increasing the overall efficacy of meet management.




What is the Technical Planning Committee?

The Technical Planning committee was created in 2004 by the Florida Gold Coast board in an effort to delegate a team of FGC members that can be tasked with investigating technical and managerial aspects of all matters relating to the meet process. Members are tasked with investigating, deliberating, and proposing solutions that would increase the efficiency and effectiveness of FGC meets. Ultimately, the decision making power to implement the proposals offered by the TP committee rests with the FGC Board of Directors.
